Shavar Thomas is a former Jamaican national team captain — now head coach of CT United FC.
CT United FC is Connecticut's first MLS Next Pro club, the third tier of the American soccer pyramid and MLS's official player-development league. Founded in 2024 and based in Bridgeport, the club is owned by Connecticut Sports Group and made its debut in March 2026.
